In April, we finally made up for a missed opportunity last year and celebrated our 25+1 year anniversary. It was a chance to reconnect with friends, clients and industry colleagues. This isn’t something we do often enough, but always walk away from feeling incredibly grateful for the community that surrounds this us and the business.
While many of our events this year kept us relatively close to home, we were proud to return to Winton for the Festival of Outback Opera for the fourth year running. A few weddings and corporate events also had us crossing the NSW border a few times, navigating time zones and logistics as only hospitality can demand.
As with any business that continues to evolve, change has been a constant, something we truly believe is a great and necessary thing. Fresh eyes, new perspectives and different ways of thinking challenge us to regularly revisit how and why we do what we do.
This year has very much been about preparing for the next chapter of Wine & Dine’m. As the years pass, this inevitably means farewelling some long-standing and much-loved team members who are moving on to new adventures or lifestyle changes. We’re incredibly thankful for the contribution, hours of relentless effort and the mark they’ve left on our business. At the same time, we’ve welcomed new faces across our sales, kitchen and operations teams, strengthening the foundations for what lies ahead.
Catering continues to evolve, and so do our clients’ needs. Express Catering has seen strong growth this year as demand increases for premium food delivered to offices, schools, stores, venues & private homes. Dietary requirements have remained a major focus for both our sales and kitchen teams, challenging us to continually evolve our menus while never compromising on flavour or creativity.
There were, of course, many events – from charity lunches like Loaves & Fishes returning for the first time since COVID, to large-scale tourism, cultural and corporate celebrations, and everything in between. Each one a reminder of why we love what we do.
Above all else, we want to say a huge thank you to our team. A business is nothing without its people and we are endlessly grateful for the commitment, resilience, creativity and care our team brings every single day. The long hours, the problem-solving, the teamwork – none of this happens without them.
And on a personal note, 2025 was also a very special year for us. We were lucky enough to finally get married – and, in true Wine & Dine’m fashion, turn it into a celebration that blended work, life and love in a way only this business ever could.
As we look ahead to 2026, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes. New systems, new projects and many exciting things in the works. We’re not giving too much away just yet — but we can promise there’s plenty to come.
Thank you to our clients, suppliers, partners and friends for another incredible year.
