As a member of our operations & logistics team, you will be instrumental in the successful execution of our events. Provide pivotal support to our Front of House team by coordinating, transporting & setting up catering equipment. Reporting directly to our Operations Manager. This role is all about keeping the wheels turning; delivering and collecting goods/equipment, managing storage and warehousing, and ensuring everything is where it needs to be for our events to run smoothly.

Overview of Role Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinate the loading & unloading of catering equipment/supplies
Transport catering items to & from event locations in a safe/ timely manner
Prepare necessary equipment according to specific job sheets
Ensure all equipment & supplies are maintained, clean & in good working condition
Maintain our depot by keeping the area clean, inventory organised & stored properly
Conduct regular stocktakes to monitor inventory levels, identify shortages & ensure accurate records
Facilitate the safe & timely drop-off/direct delivery of Express Catering items to corporate clients across Brisbane

Essential Skills & Experience

Australian Open Drivers Licence
Experience in logistics, catering, events or a related field (Highly Regarded)
Confidence driving utilities and Hino trucks
Ability to lift & carry heavy items
Strong organisational skills & attention to detail
Food hygiene training & accreditation
Excellent communication, interpersonal & teamwork skills
Experience in conducting stocktakes & inventory management

Attention to detail & comfortable notifing direct reports of missed or suggested items required for events & deliveries
A proactive & problem-solving mindset
A sound knowledge of Brisbane CBD, surrounds & local venues would be advantageous
A motivated team player that is comfortable taking on delegated responsibility
Exceptional knowledge of current food & catering trends
Hardworking, physically fit and reliable
Great personal presentation
